PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES(*Essential Functions)
Performs all moderate and highly complex laboratory procedures Performs routine and preventive maintenance procedures and trouble shooting as necessary. Performs instrument assays and calibrations as required. May be assigned key operator role. Performs Quality Control Procedures Participates in CMS Mandated Proficiency Testing and Educational Requirements. Follows Laboratory / Hospital's Policies, Procedures, Practices & Protocols, as intended. Performs Periodic Review of Policies & Procedure as required. Participates in Inventory Management and Optimal Resource Utilization Assists in collecting data for the Performance Improvement Plan Other duties as assignedQualifications

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, CERTIFICATIONS, & ASSESSMENTS
60 Semester hours including 24 semester hours of Medical Laboratory Technology; or 60 semester hours including 24 hours of science that includes 6 hours Chemistry, 6 hrs biology, and 12 hours of any combination of Chemistry, Biology or Medical Laboratory Technology. Years of ExperienceType of ExperienceRequired/Preferred 1Science/Research - Clinical ResearchPreferred Experience RequirementsPrefers to have one year experience in a Clinical or Research Laboratory setting.Certification and Licensures Other certifications and/or licensures may be considered as meeting any listed requirements, as long as they are closely related to the essential functions of the position and satisfy any regulatory requirements.
