Kettering Health Troy, formerly Troy Hospital, a three-story, nearly 150,000-square-foot hospital using the latest technology and offering several outpatient services.  Accredited by the American College of Emergency Physicians as a Level 3 Geriatric Emergency Department in 2020.Services include cardiac testing, emergency, intensive care, lab, imaging, surgery and a medical office building for physician practices.   28 bed facility.   Responsibilities & Requirements

Medical Physicist job description

Performs all aspects of clinical medical physics support in Radiation Oncology/Gamma Knife. Under the direction of the Medical Director and the department Radiation Oncologists works as a member of the Radiation Oncology team. Is responsible for acquisition, installation, calibration, and acceptance of all radiation treatment equipment. Is responsible for documentation of quality measures, as defined by the State of Ohio. The Medical Physicist is responsible for his/her own professional development and practices within the scope of care defined by law. Utilizing organizational resources, the Medical Physicist acts as a patient advocate for safe care, including participation in performance improvement activities. His/her responsibilities in Radiation Oncology reflect the mission, vision, values, and philosophies of the organization and the department.

Requirements:
- Must possess a Doctoral degree in Medical Physics or in Physics with a Medical Physics emphasis, or in other disciplines with additional post graduate CAMPEP-accredited certification program and is actively pursuing board certification.

- MS, DMP or PhD board-eligible candidates are encouraged to apply.

- Minimum of two years recent clinical medical physics experience in Radiation Oncology preferred.
- Must obtain BSL certification.
