The Medication Technician  (with CNA license or PCA)  at Abbotswood at Irving Park is responsible for medication administraion and for the delivery of quality care by encouraging independence and ensuring each resident’s physical, social, cultural, and intellectual well-being.

 

 

Schedule: Part time 1st & 2nd shift - Every other Weekend 
Pay Rate $18/hr

 

Paid Vacation /Free Meal each shift

 

 

 

What will I do every day as a MT? 

Observe residents for any changes in condition and report to supervisorAssist residents with simple requests as neededDocument and report changes of conditionProvide medication set up and assistanceLog in medications from pharmacies, verify physician’s orders and communicate any concernsTrack all medications and re-order as neededTrack residence vital signs, diabetic testing and/or insulin injection, ambulation, etc.

 

 

What will I need to be successful in this role?

Bring a smile to work every dayBe a great team playerHigh school education or GED equivalent preferredNursing assistant course completion

 

Special Requirements/Certifications I may need?

First Aid certification and CPR, if requiredMust meet state training requirements and/or certificationsNursing Assistant Certification (CNA)
