Media & Advertising Analyst

The Analyst, Media and Advertising is responsible for facilitating measurement reporting, and mining for key insights from campaign performance related to Carnival Cruise Line's advertising campaigns. This includes online and offline paid media placements and holistic campaign performance (paid/owned). The incumbent in this role plays an integral part in developing holistic campaign measurement frameworks and implementing optimizations to drive positive campaign performance. The Analyst, Media and Advertising works collaboratively with the planning and digital teams to understand media plans and investments across channels.

Job Functions:

Collaborates with internal and external media teams to evaluate and analyze paid media and advertising performance for Brand, Casino, Shorex, Product, and other internal initiatives. Reports and delivers insights leading to opportunities for optimizing partners, targets, and tactics and troubleshoots data discrepancies. Develops strategic testing plans and aligns on appropriate key performance indicators (KPIs), ensuring that campaign goals are met. Analyzes creative messaging performance, delivers reports, and identifies testing opportunities. Partners with broader marketing team to understand what messaging tactics and executions are working best and adjust as necessary. Supports larger media initiatives, such as the creation and use of a MMM and/or MTA, which involves working with cross-functional teams. Develops tracking and reporting requirements and implements custom tracking parameters, including appropriate media tagging and proper naming conventions to ensure ease in understanding performance. Other duties as assigned, such as billing.

Qualifications:

Education:  bachelor’s degree in advertising, marketing or data analytics required Work Experience:  3+ years media and/or marketing utilizing technology and marketing analytics to understand campaign performance required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (expert in Excel) Site Catalyst (or similar) Tableau, SQL, Tealium, DFA, DMP Google Analytics 360 and Google Campaign Manager Must have clear understanding of site tagging.  Knowledge of full funnel media, both data-driven and technology-oriented. Ability to work   cross-functionally with media, marketing, business intelligence, as well as external ad agencies, to drive brand awareness, brand consideration and cruise booking. Experience in online advertising/media, channel marketing, off-line advertising/media and/or consulting Proven track record of communicating actionable insights verbally and in writing. The ability to successfully prioritize and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment is critical. Exhibit enthusiasm, passion, creativity, and commitment.     

Physical Demands:  Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time. 

Travel:  Less than 25% with shore based travel likely.

Work Conditions:  Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential. 

The range for this role’s salary $51,600-$75,300  Offers to the selected candidates will be made on a fair and equitable basis, taking into account specific job-related skills and experience.
