Media Coordinator - CBS Studios

  

The Coordinator, Audience Insights and Media Performance, supports the Manager of Audience Insights and Media Performance with target audience & media plan building, billing, and day-to-day department operations. This Coordinator role is focused on supporting CBS Studios, Documentaries, News, and Nickelodeon Kids & Family Programming. This position will report to the Manager of Audience Insights and Media Performance.

 

This role is responsible for aiding in paid plan development, result analysis, and project management alongside internal marketing teams, agency partners and analytics counterparts. The Audience Insights and Media Performance team works across a wide array of verticals including Paramount+ and Showtime original series, non-fiction, sci-fi, documentaries, awards, sports, and kids & family programming. The Coordinator serves as support for internal stakeholders and a reliant contact for media agency/buying teams. This individual is expected to demonstrate a thirst for learning and pay meticulous attention to detail, along with strong communication and organization skills to succeed in a fast-paced work environment.

Responsibilities

Media Plan Development Supported by the Media team, review all media buys from media AOR, including national and local television, radio, outdoor, cinema, digital and social.  Assure plans are consistent with media strategy, in line with budget, flighted properly and executable based on production schedules. Maintain up to date flowcharts, stakeholder approvals, and media authorization documents (MPA). Coordination with media agency and internal teams to ensure creative specs and deadlines are met. Assist with briefing agency & internal buying teams on campaign strategic approach and priorities. Work in conjunction with Manager to relay feedback to media teams and internal stakeholders. Billing Track budget diligently for campaigns between media agency and internal efforts. Assist with billing process across assigned campaigns. Support the Manager with background research for development of target audience and strategic approach for individual series alignment. Schedule, attend and participate in internal/external meetings, and record detailed notes to distribute to team members. Advance knowledge about the entertainment industry and media basics. 

 

 

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree preferred, but not required 1+ year working in entertainment marketing with a focus on media strategy, planning, and activation or various internships in either entertainment or advertising agencies. Basic knowledge of marketing, advertising or media planning principles. Stays abreast of digital trends, emerging technologies, entertainment streaming platforms, social media community developments, brand partnership collaborations, and competitor advertising. Passion for the entertainment space and knowledge of Paramount+ and Showtime programming. Basic knowledge of the streaming television industry including the programming, marketing, and distribution aspects of the competitive category. Ability to balance multiple tasks at one time including responding quickly to Management's needs, fulfilling requests with little turn-around time, and managing and responding to agency or executive requests. Great attention to detail, organizational skills and comfort managing multiple projects simultaneously Exceptional communicator, including written, verbal, presentation and listening skills. Collaborative nature, strong work ethic, and Microsoft suite proficient (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

 

Hiring Salary Range: $42,400.00 - 65,000.00. 

 

The hiring salary range for this position applies to New York, California, Colorado, Washington state, and most other geographies. Starting pay for the successful applicant depends on a variety of job-related factors, including but not limited to geographic location, market demands, experience, training, and education.
