Role Description
The Media Finance Manager plays a critical bridging role between the Finance and Media teams, ensuring media spend is accurately tracked, booked, and reconciled. This role requires a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills to troubleshoot issues, streamline processes, and foster collaboration between departments.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Management & Reconciliation:
Ensure timely and accurate booking of media spend in accordance with financial policies and timelines. Ensuring teams are saving down final signed of Media plans on the system Policing the reconciliation process and supporting the teams to reconcile back to media plans Working with wider teams (media Ops, billing team etc) to resolve any blockers to reconciliation. Reviewing unvouched reports and working with the client teams to resolve any queries on media bookings / reconciliations Review the Media Payables Queries report and work with Omaha and the client teams to clear issues focusing on key supplier accounts Review late bookings and actuals versus forecast bookings reports with media teams to ensure bookings are put on the system in a timely manner Review intercompany reports and work with Media teams to resolve issues to ensure bookings matchedCollaboration with Media Teams:
Act as the primary liaison between the Finance and Media teams, ensuring seamless communication and alignment. Troubleshoot and resolve operational and financial challenges faced by the Media teams, including escalation in Finance, significant systems and process issues to be resolved by Media Operations Excellence programmeProcess Improvement & Reporting:
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency in media financial management. Support the development of key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure media and financial alignment success.Compliance & Governance:
Ensure compliance with internal financial controls, contractual obligations, and industry regulations related to media spend. Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations related to media financials.Desired Skills & Experience
