Job Description

THE PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

This pivotal role is responsible for ensuring Publicis Groupe media agencies have reliable access to the most effective media systems and media intelligence resources in the industry. The Media Intelligence Analyst- Media Product will serve as the coal-face expert for media-specific products, product enhancements and process improvements.  It will also provide insights and intelligence critical to media planning, execution, measurement, and analytics. This role is essential for maintaining a competitive edge in an ever-evolving media landscape, including existing and emerging video media platforms such as BVOD, YouTube, Short form Video, and ad-supported SVOD services.

 

KEY OUTPUTS

Media Tools and Products

Support the development of the long-term vision of Publicis proprietary products, tools and intelligence services that delivers a competitive edge against emerging capabilities.Manage the strategic support and enhancement of media intelligence systems within PMXManage and support the delivery of a replacement for the Publicis proprietary optimisation system to ensure it meets the future needs of the Australian marketplace in a timely fashion.Manage and support technical requirements for the seamless operation of proprietary systems in conjunction with relevant IT teams.
 

Product development and improvements

Support Product Owners in analysing product performance, improvement, and evolution.Work with stakeholders to identify revenue extraction opportunities across existing media products, tools, and data platforms.Partner with business teams to consult, develop and implement metrics, automated reporting/process solutions, and process improvements to meet business needs.Proactively identify opportunities to develop and implement new products or improvements to existing proprietary systems.

 

Insights and Analytics

Support the generation of insights for media and advertising effectiveness thought leadership & drive business performance and process improvement.Apply analytics and business intelligence (BI) skills to retrieve and aggregate data from multiple sources and extract meaningful insights and learnings.Work closely with the Research Director to design, define, deliver media insights studies to ensure media intelligence stakeholders are supported.

 

Stakeholder Management

Support the Media Intelligence and Capabilities Director in liaising with Product Owners, Media Agencies, third party software suppliers, data providers and other external partners to achieve the goal of providing actionable intelligence, thought leadership and business development into future improvements or innovations.Manage and support constructive relationships with relevant tech and data partners, acting as the primary point of contact for third-party tools and data providers.

 

IDEAL EXPERIENCE

Expert understanding of media planning and trading processes.Expert understanding of media optimisation and planning tools.Strong analytical capability and ability to interpret media audience data and guide testing and development plans and priorities.Experience using data visualisation tools such as Excel, Power BI, TableauSkills using SQL, python, advanced Excel macro writing an advantage.Good knowledge of analytical software, such as SAS, SPSS, and Google Analytics.Knowledge or experience around the application of Power Apps for business of process improvement is an advantageUnderstanding of Business Improvement concepts to promote team productivity.Advanced knowledge of syndicated media systems including AdQuest, eTAM, eRAM, Schedulizer, Asteroid, TVmap, MOVE and Optim8.Understanding of Media Effectiveness principlesIn-depth knowledge of the Australian media landscape
