The Opportunity
The responsibilities for this position may include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for executing glass wash and equipment preparation activities.
Cleaning, sterilizing, preparing and distributing of glassware and equipment.
Operate process equipment, which includes autoclaves, washers, ovens, tanks, and benchtop instruments.
Responsible for producing microbiological media, cell culture media, various solutions, buffers, clean glassware and prepared equipment for use throughout GMP R&D groups.
Preparation of stock such as reagents, buffers, microbiological, tissue culture and requested media as needed.
Working with the Supervisor and Lead Technician (as applicable) to prioritize tasks and assignments and making recommendations to maximize efficiency and productivity based on team needs.
Increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of the team toward meeting department goals and objectives.
Who You Are
You hold a High School Diploma or GED and one of the following:
Completion of college-level course work in biological sciences and/or physical sciences are highly desired.
AA/AS Degree in a related science major.
At least 1 year of relevant experience.
Behaviors, competencies, and qualities of the ideal Media Prep Lab Services Associate Technician
A strong background in either media prep or glassware operations or related operational environment. Mechanical aptitude and familiarity with sterilizing/cleaning equipment is required.
Passion for continuous process improvement. LEAN or other Operational Excellence training and experience a plus.
Interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills: has proven abilities to work effectively and efficiently in teams.
Must be customer service oriented. Must be a self-starter with strong focus on quality, attention to detail and delivering results.
Must be able to work weekends, off shift and overtime as required.
Computer skills: demonstrate ability to operate computers to enter work orders, purchase orders, notifications etc.
Must be able to lift 40lbs and stand for extended periods of time.
The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of South San Francisco, CA is $61,000.00 - $113,400.00 USD Annual. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, geographic location, and other job-related factors permitted by law. A discretionary annual bonus may be available based on individual and Company performance. This position also qualifies for the benefits detailed at the link provided below.
