Media Research Manager, Reputation Marketing & Insights
Description As Media Research Manager for Amazon's Reputation Marketing and Insights team, you'll measure and analyze how media narratives impact perceptions of Amazon. This role combines quantitative analysis, strategic testing, and cross-functional collaboration to protect and enhance Amazon’s brand reputation through systematic measurement and insights. Using a data-driven framework, you'll help Communications and Corporate Responsibility (CCR) teams determine effective responses to media events by integrating reputational polling, content testing, readership data, and media analysis. Through partnerships with CCR teams, you'll translate data insights into improved communications for diverse audience s. The individual in this role will also be responsible for managing a robust content-testing program for earned and owned media, establishing best practices for testing, planning and executing quantitative meta-analyses of aggregated content testing, and working with cross-functional partners to strategically design tests and interpret data. Working with internal stakeholders and external partners, you'll deliver measurable insights that demonstrate program success. Your systematic measurement and analysis will help Amazon anticipate and prepare for emerging challenges. Key job responsibilities * Developing and maintaining a comprehensive data-driven framework to evaluate media events and guide CCR response strategies * Creating clear, compelling materials that translate complex data insights for stakeholders at all technical levels * Managing content testing programs for earned and owned media, including establishing protocols and executing quantitative meta-analyses * Synthesizing multiple data sources (including internal polling, content testing, readership metrics, and environmental scanning) to drive strategic decisions * Creating and sharing measurable insights demonstrating program effectiveness through clear performance metrics and data visualizations * Partnering with CCR communications teams, external vendors, and cross-functional stakeholders to implement testing frameworks and share strategic recommendations * Creating clear, compelling reports and documents that translate complex data insights for stakeholders at all technical levels About the team Reputation Marketing & Insights is a team within Amazon's Communication & Corporate Responsibility organization that focuses on telling Amazon's story to key audiences. Basic Qualifications - 3+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience - Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements - Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables) - Experience using data and metrics to measure impact and determine improvements - Strong familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research techniques - Bachelors or equivalent Preferred Qualifications - Experience using customer research, hard data and metrics to back up assumptions, generate forecasts, and assess the efficacy of marketing programs - Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs - Experience with A/B testing, especially around audience segmentation and targeting - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to communicate plans to audiences that do not have a technical data background Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace. The base pay for this position ranges from $72,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $155,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
