Media Sales Manager

Summary
Manages sales function for assigned radio station. Manages results of advertising sales staff for quality and revenue generation. Ensures sales goals are met and provides ongoing training and development to assigned staff.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
+ Assists staff in persuading customers to purchase radio time by presenting information on various programs that will draw customers to their businesses.
+ Designs and directs preparation of promotional plans, sales literature, time rates, and sales contracts.
+ Enters new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database and coordinates with Traffic to ensure accuracy.
+ Provides training and guidance to Media Sales Consultant/s in the development and maintenance of relationships with contacts.
+ Investigates and resolves customer problems with deliveries, quality and service.
+ Attends trade shows.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Supervises a staff of Media Sales Consultants and is responsible for overall achievement of results for assigned station. Ensures policies and procedures are followed in accordance with State, Federal and local laws.

Education and/or Experience
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
