Our hybrid model requires this role to be in office 4 days a week with flexible working hours at our Bathurst/Lakeshore location.

The Media Specialist, Paid Social is an expert in paid social media with general working knowledge of other paid digital channels such as search, programmatic display, etc. You will make an impact by showing a commitment to driving digital acquisition for PC Financial products (PC Money Account, PC Insiders World Elite Mastercard, PC Mastercard No Fee products) via paid digital strategies that are rooted in data, executed via a test and learn approach and rigorously measured. You will ultimately be responsible for the success of the paid social channel within the larger paid marketing mix.  

What you’ll do

Create, execute & optimize digital marketing strategies across paid channels, with a primary focus on paid social, to drive meet/exceed acquisition targets.

Dive into business performance data to understand key customer segments and the right messaging to convert them.

Work with multiple ad platforms such as Facebook Ads Manager, Pinterest, TikTok, Reddit, etc.

Work within analytics & reporting platforms such as GA4 & Google Data Studio, to find insights, create automated reports and discuss performance with business lines.

Work cross-functionally with various experts across the business, including Marketing, Digital Acquisition, Media Strategy, Credit Risk and Business Portfolio teams, to develop hypothesis-based tests that include audience segmentation, creative, thorough tracking/measurement strategies & can be scaled once validated.

Implement enhanced conversions to harness our first party data to bid effectively on business outcomes.

Create and implement testing opportunities to showcase value add of social and display channels to the overall business.

Collaborate with Digital Acquisition & Media Strategy members to share knowledge and ensure the progress of our centre of excellence.

Work with cross functional data analysts to develop reports and insights for key business stakeholders.

Regularly present findings and make recommendations based on campaign/test performance.

 Does this sound like you?

Post-secondary degree/diploma in a related field (Business, Marketing, Advertising)

1-3 years of experience in a Paid Social role.

Prior work experience in Credit Card, or Everyday Banking acquisition is required.

Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed KPIs

Knowledge of ad management & measurement tools like FB Ads Manager, DV 360, GA4.

Deep understanding of attribution and pixel tracking setup & implementation

An analytical thinker with an ability to effectively turn reporting and analysis into actionable insights and execution plans

Ability to develop a POV and implications based on data, and present findings to key stakeholders.

Collaborative and positive attitude with passion for questioning assumptions and answering questions with data, in order to unlock value for the enterprise.

Self-directed, proactive and able to define and execute projects independently.

Strong in Excel and reporting automation / experience using Business Intelligence tools (Looker Data Studio or equivalent).

Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
