Job Purpose: To provide a high level of medical expertise and leadership to achieve company’s objectives in assigned therapeutic area and business goals. Key responsibilities: In assigned Therapeutic Area 1. Medical Governance: Ensure medical governance a. Ensure application of relevant codes/policies/SOPs and regulation and escalate as appropriate b. Ensure promotional materials comply with relevant regulations and SOPs c. Support good pharmacovigilance 2. Medical Research and Operations a. Evidence generation: Plan, collaborate, and conduct studies to address medical unmet needs b. Global clinical trials: Support a clinical operation team in terms of feasibility (Vaccine and local guidelines) and allocation process (TA/expert/site mapping) c. Local clinical trials: Supervise local sponsored and supported clinical research 3. Medical Expertise & Insight: Act as medical resource in assigned TA a. Be recognized as medical expert in the nominated therapeutic area b. Provide medical insight to relevant internal and external stakeholders including MKT and market access c. Establish innovative medical affairs strategy to define the value of products within assigned TA d. Develop and lead implementation of a medical plan in terms of evidence generation and scientific communication, particularly in case of pre-launch products e. Develop and deliver a life cycle planning of an established product group 4. External Expert Engagement (EE): Engage EE in TA as appropriate a. EE network: Establish ongoing liaison with EE to ensure that significant developments in the field are identified and monitored b. Advisory board and consultancy: Assemble and manage advisory groups or experts as appropriate to seek scientific or clinical advice. 5. Training: provide training in assigned TA a. Training of commercial, clinical operations, and other stakeholders as appropriate b. Support development of well-structured training modules Requirements: A medical degree with a wealth of clinical and/or industry experience in relevant therapeutic area (infectiology preferred) Good understanding of clinical trials and associated regulations (GCP, local regulations) Must be native in Korean and fluent in English Leadership, Decision making, Problem solving, Managerial skills, managerial experience is preferred Excellent written and oral communication skills Commercial acumen aligned with business strategy Good ethics and business integrity mindset *LI-GSK Why GSK?
