As a Medical Therapy Area Advisor, you will play a crucial role in creating and executing medical plans, collaborating with cross-functional stakeholders, and advising teams with comprehensive product and therapy area knowledge. This dynamic role involves both office based and in-field responsibilities, driven by medical strategy and stakeholder needs.
What you will do:
Develop and Oversee Medical Affairs Activities: Lead local Medical Affairs initiatives in relevant Therapeutic Areas, ensuring updated medical knowledge and understanding of the treatment and healthcare environment.Strategic Planning: Execute approved Therapeutic Area Medical Plans aligned with Brand Plans, and provide medical input to Brand Plan Teams.Scientific Expertise: Lead in key medical activities, develop medical materials, and support continuous medical education events.Corporate Governance: Review promotional and non-promotional materials toensure compliance with relevant Codes of Practice, regulations, and Takeda policies.External Stakeholder Management: Represent Takeda in the Therapeutic Area as the medical voice, establishing relationships with key opinion leaders and healthcare organisations.Patient-Centricity: Support implementation of patient access programs andcontribute to global pharmacovigilance activities.Team Collaboration: Provide medical training to internal stakeholders and participate in Global Medical Affairs initiatives.Travel requirements: ability to travel to various external meetings, and overnight travel may be required, including occasional weekend commitments.What we’re seeking in you:
Experience: 5+ years of Medical Affairs experience within the pharmaceutical industry, including a position as a Medical Advisor. Experience in Neuroscience and Vaccines would be an advantage.Qualifications: Doctoral Degree in Life Science (e.g. Ph.D.), PharmD, Ph.D. or similar discipline, or medical graduates (e.g. MD) or equivalent.Collaborative Spirit: Thrive in a hybrid, matrix organization, building strongrelationships with diverse stakeholders.Learning Agility: Adapt to rapidly changing environments and continuously develop new knowledge in evolving therapeutic areas.Authentic Leadership: Influence and facilitate complex scientific discussions to drive consensus among diverse stakeholders.What awaits you:
