As a Medical Affairs Manager, you will be responsible for creating and delivering the strategic deployment plan for the Franchise Global Medical Experts and other Franchise Experts. This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following: Act as a field-based scientific expert on the assigned therapy area, disease area, clinical practice, and competitor landscape. Develop insights that will assist in the development and execution of innovative Medical Affairs strategies and plans that clearly support GSK's development of medicines of value for patients and customers, through own expertise and external interaction. May assist in the development of research project proposals, and forward them to appropriate Medical Affairs staff for funding consideration. Whilst Medical Affairs colleagues must not solicit clinical research trials (CRT) proposals from healthcare professionals (HCPs) or institutions, they can engage in discussions with EEs regarding research proposals/CRTs. The Medical Affairs colleague can discuss the available evidence and data gaps to assist in the development of CRT proposals. Respond in a timely and accurate manner to unsolicited requests for on- or off-label information or safety concerns from HCPs. Responses can be verbal or written and must be sourced from approved Medical Information letters. Deliver Medical Education Activities in alignment with the principles of Scientific Engagement. Provide regular product and disease training internally to facilitate the building of knowledge capability of the commercial team. Must at all times reflect the medical nature of their role, be fair, balanced, non-promotional, scientific, and evidence-based. Medical must ensure full compliance with GSK Code, SOPs, and local laws & regulations for all country medical and promotional activities, in line with the principles of Scientific Engagement. May attend scientific meetings to gather information on recent data being presented on products and disease states of interest to GSK or to address HCP’s unsolicited questions regarding GSK products within. May involve in the promotional and non-promotional material copy review to ensure these items comply with local regulations and industry code, and GSK internal policies and guidelines. Understand medical strategic priorities and work in collaboration with other internal stakeholders in Medical and commercial teams. Provide guidance to medical affairs executives to enhance enterprise and strategic thinking to support the product portfolio and act as a resource reservoir for the medical affairs executive in difficult situations. Ensure adverse events and product complaints are reported within 24 hours. Why you? Basic Qualifications: We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals: Bachelor’s degree or above 2 years' or above experience in medical affairs within pharmaceutical industry Experience with promotional and scientific engagement codes of practice Experience in an above country role, having worked directly with international markets and regions Experience with project management Preferred Qualifications: If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus: Project management certification (PMP) Excellent people skills, experience of working in a complex matrix Experience in complex travel logistics, organization and support Why GSK?
