We have an exciting opportunity to join Teva as a Medical Affairs Manager to cover North Portugal area.
The opportunityThis field-based medical role is responsible for engaging with healthcare professionals (HCPs) in the assigned territory through high-level scientific exchange, education, publications, evidence generation, and other non-promotional Medical Affairs activities in a fair, balanced, credible and non-promotional manner.
Among your responsibilities you will:
Plan and execute Regional Medical Plans, including KOL Engagement, Medical Education, Clinical Trials/Studies related Activities and Insights Generation Organized and facilitate regional or national medical educational programs and other medical initiatives and projects (scientific events, symposia, advisory boards, …) Provide high-quality scientific support, education and training to both internal and external customers Support the Clinical Operation Team in areas related with Clinical Trials and Studies, including data collection, feasibility and initiation visits. Facilitate evidence generation aligned with medical strategy, including investigator-initiated research Manage and document Medical Information Queries from HCPs in accordance with Medical Information Procedures How you’ll spend your day Act as a trusted scientific partner, engaging in deep scientific discussions on disease areas and innovative treatments with KOLs Independently manage medical affairs projects and initiatives aligned with medical strategy ensuring full compliance with codes of practice, regulations and guidelines. Collaborate cross-functionally with internal costumers (Market Access, Marketing, Clinical Operations, Sales, …) providing scientific insights and contributions to support company strategy Your experience and qualifications MD, Pharm D, PhD or another Life Sciences degree Evidence of successful career in the pharmaceutical industry as MSL/Medical Advisor or Medical Affairs (min. 2 years in the role is required) Therapeutic area experience in Neurology and/or Psychiatry Broad knowledge of Portuguese Healthcare System, Healthcare Technologies Assessment and Health Economy Broad understanding of drug development, clinical trial design, regulatory requirements, business development and life cycle management. Strong understanding of compliance, legal and regulatory frameworks Fluency in written and spoken English Excellent communication and presentation skills Knowledge, ability and willingness to engage with customers using traditional as well as novel digital channels Strong IT proficiency with the ability to work effectively with and leverage modern technology Availability to travel in the designated territory (Northern Portugal).
