We provide specialized care in areas such as cardiology, stroke, high-risk pregnancy—including a neonatal intensive care unit—oncology, transplantation and orthopedics. **PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES** + Performs Point-of-Care (POC) Testing, splinting, and wound care + Assists patients to exam room and documents patient history, medications and vital signs + Prepare and clean exam rooms + Assists RN with triage process + Facilitates flow of patients and maximizes operational efficiency + Act as a liaison between patient, patient’s family and providers + Assist provider with procedures and medical exams + Transports patients within hospital departments **REQUIREMENTS** + Completion of a Medical Assistant course accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP) or Accrediting Bureau of Health Education Schools (ABHES) or other recognized regional or national accreditation board OR equivalent + Must be Washington State Medical Assistant-Certified or achieve this designation within 6-months of hire.
