Medical Assistant
Description We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Medical Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. This position is ideal for a recent graduate holding a Clinical Medical Assistant certificate and has the ability to fluently communicate in both English and Spanish. As a key member of our team, you will provide vital support to physicians, patients, and staff through administrative and clinical tasks while ensuring excellent patient care and a seamless patient experience. Key Responsibilities: Clinical Support: + Prepare patients for medical examinations, including vital signs measurement and medical history documentation (Source: MC24 Job Search Guide US eBook.pdf). + Assist physicians during procedures and exams, ensuring patient comfort and medical compliance. + Administer medications or injections as directed by the physician (if permitted under certification and local regulations). + Perform basic laboratory procedures, such as collecting and processing specimens. Patient Communication & Education: + Serve as a liaison between patients and medical professionals, ensuring clear and accurate communication. + Provide patients with pre- and post-care instructions, answering any questions related to their visit. + Deliver culturally competent care by effectively communicating in both English and Spanish to diverse patient populations. Administrative Duties: + Schedule appointments, verify insurance information, and manage patient records. + Maintain a clean and organized clinical environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety protocols. + Assist in tracking inventory and ordering medical supplies as needed. + Utilize electronic health records (EHR) systems proficiently to document patient encounters and updates.
