Responsibilities:

Stellar Communicator: Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare professionals, ensuring clear and concise information exchange. Act as a bridge between patients and providers, ensuring that questions are answered and concerns are addressed promptly.
Documentation Expert: Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, ensuring that information is entered correctly and securely. Adhere to privacy regulations, such as HIPAA, and maintain strict confidentiality of patient information.
Team Collaboration: Collaborate closely with healthcare providers, nurses, and administrative staff to deliver coordinated and comprehensive care. Your ability to work collaboratively and communicate effectively will be essential in providing a seamless patient experience.
Must demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, motor/sensor, psychosocial and safety appropriate to the age of the patient served and meet the standards of quality as measured by the unit/department age specific competency standard.
Requirements:
Education and Certification: Completion of a medical assistant program and certification from an accredited institution.
This position will keep abreast of all standards to assure compliance with federal, state and local regulatory agencies and ensure compliance with federal, state and local regulatory agencies including third party reimbursement requirements.

Education:
Must have working-level knowledge of the English language, including reading, writing and speaking English.
Experience:
Multi-physician office practice experience highly preferred. CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, EMT 1 or completion of an Externship (with leadership approval) preferred.
License(s):
Current State of Nevada license for Office Laboratory Assistant or Certified Laboratory Assistant or an application must be submitted within 90 days of employment (excludes departments 200261, 200280, 200282,200317,200305, 515316, 530260, 530280, 530285, 530286, 530288, 530317, 530367, 530396, 530399, 530410, 530415, 530420, 530425, 530430, 530431, 530435, 800585 and Corp 900). Failure to apply for and/or receive license within 90 days will result in discharge.
Certification(s):
Current AHA BLS/CPR or ability to obtain within 90 days of employment required. Current Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification, Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), or EMT certification preferred. Some positions may require DOT and Non-DOT drug testing certifications. Employee will have 90 days from date of hire to obtain and maintain certification.
Computer / Typing:
Must possess, or be able to obtain within 90 days, the computers skills necessary to complete online learning requirements for job-specific competencies, access online forms and policies, complete online benefits enrollment, etc.
