Patient Care:Escort patients to examination rooms and prepare them for physician consultations.Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations, procedures, and treatments.Obtain and record vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints accurately.Perform basic medical procedures such as phlebotomy, EKG, wound care, and specific injections under supervision.Administers vaccines as requested by the provider. Performs pulmonary function tests, electrocardiograms, pulse oximetry, and nebulizer treatments as instructed by the provider. Administrative Support:Schedule patient appointments, tests, and procedures, and coordinate referrals as needed.Maintain electronic health records (EHR) accurately and ensure compliance with confidentiality regulations.Handle patient inquiries, telephone calls, and messages promptly and courteously.Verify insurance coverage, collect co-payments, and process billing and coding accurately. Clinical Assistance:Prepare and sterilize medical instruments and equipment for procedures.Assist in minor surgical procedures and examinations, ensuring a sterile environment.Perform laboratory tests such as urinalysis, blood glucose, and rapid strep tests.Conduct inventory management and ensure adequate stock of medical supplies and medications.
