The Medical Assistant assists providers and nurses with patient care, initiates patient flow, maintains the environmental areas of the clinic and examination rooms, entries into patient charts through EHR, assists with telephoning. We do on the job Training! Bilingual preferred.\n

QUALIFICATIONS:\n\nCOVID-19 Vaccinations\nEducation and Experience\nHigh school diploma or equivalent required\nKnowledge of adult and\/or pediatric office practice\nElectronic Health Records experience helpful\nMust have valid driver's license, insurance, and transportation to other clinics as needed\n\n

COMPETENCIES:\n\nKnowledge of adult and\/or pediatric office practice\nModerate proficiency with medical equipment\nModerate proficiency with computer\nHigh proficiency in telephone skill\nAbility to speak and write fluently in English; Spanish desirable\nAverage numerical and verbal capacity\nInterest in work involving considerable contact with people\nAbility to follow established procedures and maintain high level of organization\nAbility to handle most setbacks with calmness and ease\nAbility to maintain confidentiality\n\n

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:\n\nModerate physical exertion including frequent walking, standing, bending, reaching and carrying moderately heavy loads (up to 25 lbs.)\nAbility to work in conditions that include exposure to blood, bodily fluids and tissues, contagious diseases and\/or other potentially hazardous materials\nFine motor coordination sufficient to perform manipulative skills\nAbility to stand for extended periods of time, hand\/eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to deliver medical services and use equipment.\n\n

ESSENTIAL DUTIES\/RESPONSIBILITIES:\n

Must be passionate about a career in the healthcare field that offers on the job training and direct patient care!\n\nPrepares patient for examination, takes height, weight, blood pressure and other measurements as applicable\nTakes initial medical information including medication history\nAssists in performing waived laboratory tests\nMakes correct entries in patient charts and checks appointment dates\nAssists patients to examination rooms, lab and restrooms\nRestocks and straightens exam rooms\nPerforms quality assurance on glucometers\nMakes copies and faxes documents as requested\nPerforms other duties as required\n\n\n\n\n

Job Type: Full-time\n\n\n

Schedule:\n\n8 hour shift\nMonday to Friday\n\n\n\n
