The Medical Office Assistant (MOA) works within the Community Health and Behavioral Services (CHBS) program to support clients receiving services. Core Responsibilities
Responsible for accurate, appropriate scheduling of follow up appointments for clients Frequent outreach and communication with clients. Assists with clerical responsibilities. Perform monitoring of safety equipment and daily/weekly checklists to include eye-wash stations, AED, and supply outdates. Order and stock supplies. Clinical tasks, as needed and assigned, to include: obtaining medical histories and vital signs, collecting laboratory specimens. Ensure compliance with all pertinent government and agency regulations and operating standards Ensure HIPAA compliance with client information.
Qualifications
Required- High School Diploma or equivalent with Medical Assistants training. Preferred- certification as Certified Medical Assistant or within 6 months of hire. Strong computer, customer service, and communication skills 1-3 years’ experience in physician’s office preferred. Must have a valid NYS Driver’s License
Schedule is based on a 40-hour work week. Typical schedule is Monday-Friday 8 am-4:30 pm
