Job Title: Medical AssistantJob Description
The Medical Assistant will perform clinical duties in a primary care setting under the supervision of a physician. The duties are mainly back office, including taking vitals, rooming patients, restocking supplies, and cleaning rooms after patient visits. Occasional assistance at the front desk may be required.
Responsibilities
+ Perform clinical duties under the supervision of a physician
+ Take and record patient vitals
+ Room patients and prepare them for examination
+ Restock medical supplies
+ Clean examination rooms after patient visits
+ Assist with front desk duties as needed
Essential Skills
+ Medical assisting experience
+ Experience with Epic
+ Knowledge of primary care procedures
+ Ability to perform triage
+ Strong patient care skills
+ Excellent customer service skills
+ Proficient in insurance verification
+ Ability to measure and record blood pressure
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Experience in a primary care setting
+ Knowledge of triage procedures
Work Environment
This is a fast-paced primary care office within the Upper Chesapeake System. The practice sees 100 - 150 patients per day. Working hours are Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, with potential for later hours depending on patient visits. The office is modern and well-equipped to handle a high volume of patients.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00
