Job Title: Medical Assistant
Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our Internal Medicine office. The Medical Assistant will support the physician and other medical staff by performing a variety of administrative and clinical tasks to ensure the smooth operation of the practice and the highest quality of patient care.

ResponsibilitiesSchedule patient appointments and manage the appointment calendar.Answer phone calls and handle patient inquiries.Maintain and update patient medical records and contact information.Process insurance paperwork and billing.Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures.Measure and record vital signs (e.g., blood pressure, temperature, pulse).Obtain and document patient medical histories.Perform basic laboratory tests and collect lab samples.Prepare and clean examination rooms before and after patient visits.Essential SkillsStrong interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.Proficiency in using electronic medical records (EMR) systems.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Exceptional interpersonal and customer service skills.Strong problem-solving skills.Ability to prioritize and multi-task.Ability to function well in a high-paced and at times stressful environment.Strong EMR experience.Additional Skills & QualificationsMedical Assistant diploma or NHA certificate not required but a plus.If no diploma or certificate then must have strong MA experience.Must be computer savvy.Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.EKG experience.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/yr.
