Job Description
Assist in the delivery of primary health care and patient care management. Perform nursing and administrative duties in a fast-paced clinical environment. Prepare patients for examination and treatment, take vital signs, review medications and allergies, and enter health information into EMR systems. Support physicians and PAs during medical procedures and manage patient discharge processes.
Responsibilities

+ Prepare patients for examination and treatment.
+ Take patient vital signs, review medications and allergies, and enter health information into EMR systems.
+ Prepare exam and treatment rooms with necessary instruments and supplies.
+ Assist physicians or PAs in preparing for medical procedures.
+ Verify patient identification by DOB and full name.
+ Perform procedures and accompanying paperwork.
+ Schedule requested testing, outside physician appointments, write or enter required lab orders and prescriptions, and provide information to patients.
+ Triage telephone calls for referral to physician or nurse practitioner.
+ Restock examination rooms weekly.
Essential Skills
+ Experience with patient care and vitals.
+ Knowledge of medical assistant duties.
+ Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) certification in good standing.
+ Experience with EMR systems, preferably WebChart.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
+ Excellent patient care and customer service skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ MA certification (CMA, CCMA, RMA, AAMA, NHA, etc.) in good standing.
+ Experience in rheumatology or internal medicine.
+ Experience in pediatrics.
Work Environment
The hours for this role are 8am-5pm, with the possibility of starting as early as 7am depending on patient lab needs. No weekend work is required. Candidates may be asked to perform various tasks as needed. The primary location is in Greenwood, with occasional travel to Noblesville for coverage if necessary. The role includes a 6-week training program. Adherence to all policies for safety, attendance, punctuality, and personal appearance is required.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $24.00/hr.
