Medical Assistant
Description About the role: The Certified Medical Assistant is needed for a small private clinic. This clinic conducts pre-employment physicals, performs annual hearing tests, checks vitals and schedules appointments The successful candidate will be detail oriented, highly organized, and patient focused. Duties include:  Updating and filing patient records  Completing insurance forms  Taking patient medical history  Taking and recording vital signs  Conducting hearing tests  Collecting and preparing laboratory specimens  Disposing of contaminated supplies  Scheduling appointments  Purchasing and maintaining supplies and equipment  Explaining treatment procedures to patients  Additional administrative duties Job Schedule: Mondays - 6:30 AM to 6:00 PM, Tuesdays through Thursdays 6:30 AM to 4:00 PM and every other Friday, 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM Skills Medical, Certified Medical Assistant, Phlebotomy, Electronic health record, Epic, Patient care Additional Skills & Qualifications Must Have: CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT (need a certification) At least a year of experience in a fast paced family practice or urgent care setting EMR experience Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $21.00/hr.
