Adecco Healthcare & Life Sciences is looking for a **Medical Assistant** for our client in **St. Petersburg, FL!** This position is onsite / in person. **Type:** 3-month contract temporary assignment, with potential for extension or a full time offer to go permanent **Pay:** $22 to 24/hr **Shifts:** Monday – Friday 8 am to 5 pm **Location:** Onsite in St. Petersburg, FL **Responsibilities of the Medical Assistant:** · Performs all duties within the scope of a MA’s practice · Operates diagnostic equipment, removes staples from superficial wounds, changes wound dressing and obtains cultures, administers non-intravenous medication, performs simple specimen collection via noninvasive techniques, collects blood specimens via venipuncture, and performs EKGs · Performs quality control checks on equipment · Prepares and sterilizes medical equipment using autoclave · Rooms patients according to policy and procedures, prepares patient for examination · Records patient care documentation in the medical record accurately and timely · Coordinates patient care as directed by physicians, company standards, and policies · Maintains patient confidentiality at all times and treats patients with courtesy and respect · Organizes exam and treatment rooms, stocks and cleans rooms, and sterilizes equipment · Practices standard infection control precautions · Supports and follows Standard Delegation of orders (SDO) · Performs all related duties as assigned **Qualifications for the Medical Assistant:** + High School Graduate or equivalent + Medical Assistant Certification + 1 year experience as a Medical Assistant **Why work for Adecco?** · Excellent Weekly Pay discussed during screening · 401(k) Plan · Skills Training · Excellent medical, dental, and vision benefits Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
