Looking to Hire a Medical Assistant in a Cardiology Practice!
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and reliable Medical Assistant to join our team in a Cardiology office. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient patient flow, prepare treatment rooms, and provide appropriate procedural support. A Medical Assistant Diploma is required and 3 years of consistent experience is preferred.
Essential Skills
+ Medical Assistant Diploma
+ 3 years of consistent experience preferred
+ Knowledge of cardiology
+ Experience in patient care, phlebotomy, and customer service
+ Familiarity with epic systems, data entry, and administrative support
+ Ability to perform manual vitals, holter monitors, and EKGs
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Reliable and punctual
+ Experience in appointment scheduling, medical terminology, insurance verification, and front desk operations
+ Understanding of infection control, risk management, and environment of care policies
+ Ability to support departmental medical record audits
+ Ability to travel to satellite locations
Work Environment
Candidates will work in a Cardiology office located in Great Neck, New York. The office operates Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, with an 8-hour shift and a half-hour unpaid lunch. There are no weekend shifts. The team includes 4 providers throughout the week, including an internist who has his own medical assistant
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $18.00 - $23.00/hr.
