This is a combined posting for an Medical Assistant and Medical Assistant/Xray Tech - Urgent Care. The requirements of each role are listed below under each associated title. Under general supervision of the LVN Supervisor, Site Manager and or Radiology Manager this position will assists physician/provider with all general medicine or specialized medical practice duties as a Medical Assistant within the scope of practice. 

As the limited X-ray Technician perform diagnostic x-rays within their licensure for patients of all ages and assumes responsibility for accuracy under the direction of the radiologist; works effectively with patients and other clinic personnel. The limited x-ray technician is also responsible for all duties relating to the darkroom.

Medical Assistant

Required Qualifications:

Coursework/Training Graduate of an accredited school that includes hands on training in a clinical setting for medical assistants. Or Coursework/Training Graduate of a registered medical assistant apprenticeship program. Or  Coursework/Training Has completed two years of medical training in the United States Armed Forces. Or  Coursework/Training Minimum one year of work experience as a medical assistant that includes the following clinical skills: obtaining vital signs, administering injections, and medication administration. Or  within 30 days of hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association. 6 months Healthcare experience. 6 months Medical Assistant experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification.

Medical Assistant Salary Range: $  23.15, $35.42

 

Medical Assistant/Xray Tech

Required Qualifications:

Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association 2 years Medical assisting experience in a clinic setting. 2 years Experience providing a high level of customer service in a fast-paced environment, including handling confidential data with discretion.

Preferred Qualifications:

Coursework/Training Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program with an externship (Applied learning)  Coursework/Training Has completed medical training in the United States Armed Forces.    Coursework/Training Has worked as a Medical Assistant in a clinic environment for at least six months   Upon hire: National Medical Assistant Certification

Medical Assistant/Xray Tech Salary Range: $ 26.06, $39.88
