About the Opportunity

Under the direction of the Center Manager, the Physician and RN, the Medical Assistant (MA), assists with pre-operation procedures and patient care. Additionally, the MA is responsible for assisting the Physician with cleaning and processing of scopes, accessories and instruments.

Duties and Responsibilities Include:

Collect, verify and file patient information. Explain medical procedures to patients. Cleans and disinfects flexible endoscopes and accessories according to center’s policies and procedures and manufacturer’s guidelines while verifying that all essential equipment is functioning properly. Preparing operating rooms prior to procedure. Follow safety guidelines set forth by the center's policies. Prepare patients for surgical procedures. Performs other duties as requested or assigned.
