MEDICAL ASSISTANT (CERTIFIED)

✨Join a group of passionate advocates on our mission to improve the lives of youth!  Rite of Passage Team is hiring for a Certified Medical Assistant at The Arkansas Juvenile Assessment and Treatment Center (AJATC) in Bryant, Arkansas✨

 

AJATC is a secure residential program for at-risk male and female youth, located on 110 acres just outside of Little Rock, AR. Through our trained programming for staff, AJATC promotes a normalized high school experience, offers a safe environment and provides opportunities for positive change, as well as providing the unlimited potential for achievement and growth for students and staff. Our campus features residential student dormitories, on-site school and library, vocational training program, chapel, gymnasium, medical and an outdoor recreation area. Pay: $19 per hour; can increase with level of education and experience

What you will do: The Medical Assistant works directly on the Student Services team, primarily serving as an assistant to the entire Health Services Department. As a Medical Assistant, you will coordinate the flow of students to be seen by the healthcare professionals within program and the scheduling of students to be seen by outside healthcare professionals. You will also work in conjunction with our Group Living department in monitoring and supervising students waiting to be seen. As a Medical Assistant, you will also ensure medical documentation is complete and filed within student medical charts. Under the direction of the Health Services Administrator, you will also document medical supply orders.

 

To be considered you should: Possess a high school diploma or equivalent ~ Certification for Medical Assistant or Nurses Assistant is required ~ Be at least 21 years of age ~ Be able to pass a criminal background check, drug, physical, and TB test ~ Be able to pass a search of the child and adult abuse central registry ~ Must meet the requirements to become an ROP eligible driver, including having a valid Driver's License 

 

Schedule:  4 days a week, occasionally on the weekends; 9:00 AM to 7:00 PM
