Responsible to provide basic patient care assistance to the physiciansGreets patients and ensures efficient triagingRecords and documents vital signs, patient weight and basic medical historyPrepares patient for physician examination, assists physician or APRN with proceduresProvides instruction and basic education for various ancillary tests and procedures, performs EKG testingMaintains general appearance, cleanliness and safety of all patient exam and waiting roomsEnsures that all exam rooms and patient care areas are stockedAssists with various front office functions such as filing organizing patient medical records, insurance verification and authorizations, answers phone, monitors and maintains inventory and equipmentPerform other duties as assignedRequirements:
Required Medical Assistant certification thru American Association of Medical AssistantsRequired High School or EquivalentPreferred 2 years Medical Assistant experienceEqual Opportunity Employer Veterans/Disabled
