Responsibilities*Responsibilities could include:
Room patients and perform standard patient intake including vitalsAssist with minor clinical office proceduresPerforms standard medical laboratory/Point of Care (POC) testing.Administer medications/immunizations, injections as directedRespond to general patient inquiries regarding treatment and clinic policies and procedures.Coordinate patient care with outside health agencies.May complete general administrative duties as assigned including; Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), Disability and Return to Work forms, Electronic Medical Record in-basket messages, etc.Complete other clinical and non-clinical duties as assigned.Required Qualifications* High School Diploma or GED. Graduated from an accredited Medical Assistant program OR an equivalent combination of patient care related education and patient care experience 0-1 years of patient care experience for an Assistant level 1-3 years of patient care experience for an Associate level Knowledge of basic Medical Terminology Moderate standing/walking, as well as, lifting, positioning, pushing and/or transferring patient.Desired Qualifications* Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or (RMA). Experience working within a large complex outpatient health care setting. Familiarity with electronic medical records system.Work ScheduleFull Time hours, 40 hours per week, weekday schedule will vary depending on location/clinic.
May be occasional weekends.
