What you'll do:

Assist in preparing for in-office procedures such as biopsies and Ultrasounds by setting up necessary equipment. Download blood sugar data from CGMs and blood glucose meters. Manage the scheduling of patient appointments, coordinating with both patients and providers to optimize clinic flow. Assist with managing clinic flow, scheduling patient follow-up appointments, communicating referral information, and discharge instructions.You will play a vital role in delivering high-quality care to our patients, working closely with experienced professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes.Maintains a clean, organized, and safe environmentOrganizes and performs patient care services that support the physician’s practice including:Assisting in preparing patients for examination/proceduresAssisting physicians with proceduresRelaying instructions from the physician to the patient or authorized personCollecting patient data in person and by phoneDocumenting patient concerns, messages and care provided in the electronic medical record for the physician's reviewAdministering medications specifically directed by the physicianPerforming vital sign documentationScheduling of appointments and proceduresComplete and accurate message takingRouting messages to the appropriate area for directionOrder and referral entryAcquisition of pre-certificationsSetting up of cases in EPIC plus basic registration and updating of demographics.

Required Qualifications:

Completion of a formal Medical Assistant Program or a minimum of two years of experience as a Military Corpsman or Medical Assistant CertificationBLS certification for the Healthcare Provider by the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Qualifications:

One year of previous MA experience
