Position Summary: We are looking to hire a full-time, long term Medical Assistant (may include varied shifts including evenings and Saturdays) to work in our clinic in Eagle Mtn. Successful candidates must maintain a professional image in the office and in all communications. Must be able to multi-task while maintaining good patient and staff relations along with providing outstanding customer service.
Essential Job Functions: Provides courteous and Friendly service to all patients, coworkers and contributes to a positive work environment. Works with providers to assist in the patient treatment and documentation of the patient encounters. Makes sure all pertinent information is available to the provider i.e., list of medications, lab results, allergies, imaging reports and healthy history. Rooms patients, obtains vitals and prepares patients for the medical exam. Run a variety of tests including FLU, Covid and Strep Retrieves previous x-rays, office notes and exam results. Reviews messages and paperwork with provider and responds as directed in a prompt and courteous manner. Assists with examinations, invasive procedures and minor surgical procedures that are carried out by the provider. Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary equipment and supplies. Cleaning and sterilizing supplies, rooms and equipment before the start of the day and in between patients. Documents orders, referrals and lab tests. Documents follow up activity for health maintenance and quality of care measures. Takes messages and tasks from patients. Administers medications and Injections including vaccinations. Draws blood from patients for in house and send off labs. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications: MUST be a medical assistant. MUST have medical office experience. Knowledge of computers and electronic medical record systems required. Strong interpersonal, communication, prior authorization and organizational skills. Must be able to stand/move for long periods of time. MUST be 18. FULL TIME 30-40 hours weekly.
Hours: Family medicine Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday. 7:45-5:30 UC clinic is open Monday-Saturday 8-8 These are the= UC clinic hours: you may be here later time to time to finish up on MA duties.
