Responsibilities

Position Summary:

Incumbent works under the direct supervision of the Staff Nurse and/or licensed medical practitioner in caring for the clinical patient and providing the best possible individualized nursing care in a timely manner with emphasis on cost containment. The position reports to the Director Rural Health Clinics.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

One year experience in a outpatient medical office or physician clinic setting (if operationally able willing to train in lieu of experience) requiredMedical terminology ability to clearly communicate and understand English requiredWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office suite requiredBLS Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)

Preferred Qualifications:

Two years experience in a clinical setting preferredAssociates degree in a related field preferredWorking knowledge of state supported programs specific to rural health clinics and Medical Assistant certification preferredSpanish speaking skills preferred
