Job Summary

\n

You will help provide healthcare by completing administrative tasks and basic medical procedures as a Medical Assistant In Basket. This role involves managing patient records and internal electronic systems. Your performance must meet high standards.

\n

Essential Functions of the Role

\n\nYou will manage incoming messages, acting as the first reviewer for communications directed to the healthcare team.\nYou will opt which messages are appropriate for healthcare professionals' roles and give patient education per doctor's instructions.\nYou'll update message status so team members know who's in charge of next steps.\nIf a message is not your responsibility, forward it to the right person or team.\nYou will document information in a clear and efficient manner using the electronic medical record system.\nYou will manage patient referrals and pre-authorizations depending on the clinic's workflow.\nYou will fill out forms for Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA), home health services, and other paperwork as necessary.\nYou'll do standing delegated orders, address pending orders, diagnosis codes, and close care gaps for your patients.\nAdministrative duties such as making patient calls, sending Mychart notifications, and message relaying will be part of your daily tasks.\nYou may need to perform Medical Assistant duties in a clinic as specified in the job description.\n\n

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION - H.S. Diploma/GED EquivalentEXPERIENCE - 2 Years of ExperienceBasic Life Support (BLS): BLS or BLS within 30 days of hire or transfer.
