The Opportunity:

 

Saint Luke’s Health System in is seeking employees that are interested in becoming a Medial Assistant (MA) to be an integral part of our team. This is a great opportunity for individuals interested in delivering high quality, patient-centered medical care to our community. Candidates that do not have applicable medical experience will receive 10 weeks of on the job training to learn the position. As a trained Medical Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting providers in the evaluation, management, and delivery of professional medical care in a busy multi-specialty physician practice.

Details: We are now accepting applications for the next cohort. To be eligible, internal employees will need to *Interview and Be Offered a Position as a Medical Assistant at a current clinic.*

Qualifications: All Internal employees are eligible for this program and will be considered a Medical Assistant upon completion. Employees who are currently in discipline are not eligible for the program.

 

The Work:

 

·         Provide an excellent patient experience by managing the flow of patients, providing excellent customer service, establishing rapport with patients and maintaining a professional demeanor

·         Conduct Pre-visit plans, room patients and obtain vitals

·         Phlebotomy

·         Administer injections and coordinate vaccines

·         Assist providers with procedures

·         Utilize the EMR system and scan/download documents

·         Conduct telephone screening (with protocols)

·         Cover front office responsibilities as needed

 

 

We are seeking someone that wants to make a difference in our patients’ clinic experience. Medical Assistants are cross-trained to perform administrative and clinical duties. The ideal candidate will have a positive attitude, strong customer service skills, and be eager to be a team player.

Less than 1 year

Basic Life Support - American Heart Association or Red Cross
