Job Description:

MA/LMR- J-Town Primary Care Location

Full Time: 40 hours

1st Shift

Sign-On Bonus Available (subject to eligibility requirements)

Position Summary: 

The MA with LMR assists the staff and physician by collection of pertinent patient information needed to determine physical and psychological needs, address and identify health problems, performs selected treatments, diagnostic procedures, chest x-rays, various extremity x-rays and routine duties.  The MA with LMR functions as a member of the healthcare team with responsibilities commensurate with educational preparation, training and demonstrated competencies.  Direct patient care is provided to patients of all ages.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform EKG’s, venipunctures, pulmonary function testing, and other lab procedures and treatments with accuracy.Accurately obtain vital signs and record patient data in an accurate, legal and appropriate manner.Performs all radiographic exams and is responsible for all film qualityMaintains radiation safety per departmental policyKeeps all x-ray equipment and supplies clean, maintained and stocked.Application of splints, braces and wound dressings in correct manner.Assist physician with exams/procedures.Room/equipment/instrument set-up, cleaning, practice good infection control, order supplies and restock as necessary.Clerical duties may include scheduling, answering phone, filing, copying, completing forms/referrals/precerts, obtaining demographic information, updating charts, assuring fee tickets reflect services perform.

Minimum Education, Training and Experience Required: 

High School Diploma or Equivalent requiredLimited Radiographer Certification required (Rad Tech may be considered in place of LMR)Basic Life Support Certification required2+ years of LMR preferredDirect patient care experience preferred
