Overview The Cook Family Health Center provides primary healthcare services for Bloomington-area Cook Group company employees and their families. The Medical Assistant provides high-quality patient care by supporting providers and patients through various tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication. Responsibilities + Patient Intake & Assisting Provider + Setting up equipment and assisting during exams and procedures + Collecting lab specimens + Phlebotomy + Patient Education & Communication + Administer medication/Injections + Schedule outside appointments + Order stock + Manage disposal of biohazards + Electrocardiogram + Sterile technique + Clean and stock exam rooms/lab + Electronic Health Records data entry + Must work and interact effectively and professionally with and for others throughout various levels + Must strictly adhere to safety requirements + Maintain regular and punctual attendance + Must maintain company quality and quantity standards + Must have effective oral and written communication skills + Excellent problem solving skills and ability to work in collaborative and independent work situations and environments with minimal supervision. + Must strictly adhere to and enforce Cook Clinic Employee Manual, Cook Code of Conduct, HIPAA & OSHA regulations Qualifications + High School Diploma or equivalent required + 1-2 years technician experience in medical office environment + Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) experience required + Previous multi-line phone & customer service experience required + Current CMA or LPN preferred Physical Requirements/Work Environment: + Ability to walk & stand for long periods of time + Able to bend, stoop, kneel or crouch + Utilizes close visual acuity for working with computers, equipment, etc. + Able to lift 20+ pounds occasionally Requisition ID2024-15253 Posting Date3 weeks ago(9/16/2024 1:18 PM) Job Location(s)Bloomington IN United States Job LocationsUS-IN-Bloomington Position TypeFull Time CompanyCook Family Health Center CategoryOther
