patient monitoring third party payer and DURABLE MEDICAL EQUIPMENT COMPANY DMEC coordination in a busy AASM accredited Sleep Center settingEducation High School diploma or equivalent Currently enrolled in a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited medical assisting program or CNA program or equivalents with expected completion within days of employmentExperience At least one year of experience in a health care setting preferably medical officeoutpatient requiredLicensure Certification Registration Certification by the American Association of Medical Assistants AAMA or similar credentialing body OR State of CT DPH CNA required within days of employment BLS certification required or completion within days of employmentLanguage Skills English bilingual preferredKnowledge Skills and Ability RequirementsExcellent interpersonal and communication skills with ability to make independent decisions within hisher area of responsibility Excellent verbal and written skills in the English language required daily Excellent telephone skills required Ability to learn use of all equipment necessary to perform job Familiarity with medical terminology Working knowledge of PC including word processing and data entry Must possess or obtain within days of employment Knowledge of third party payer government private payer rules and regulations regarding sleep medicine testing patient evaluations and durable medical equipment qualification requirements Basic knowledge and understanding of various sleep testing procedures Intermediate skills using the EPIC ELECTRONIC HEALTH RECORD EHR in the outpatient setting including patient registration scheduling encounter generation and patient rooming Must maintain BLS CPR certification Maintains required level of technical andor professional learning Ensures through continuing education the skills necessary to assess patients based on their age specific needs are maintainedWe take great care of careersWith locations around the state
