We offer temporary, part-time, and per diem opportunities across our 6 health care centers located in Southern Maine and in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Martin’s Point provides primary care for the whole family, as well as specialty care (sports medicine and cardiology) and services like lab, pharmacy, and radiology. Part-time and full-time Medical Assistants are eligible of a sign-on bonus, up to $2,000! Full-time MA positions in Brunswick are eligible for a $3,000 sign-on bonus.*

Job DescriptionKey Outcomes:

Medical Assistants work collaboratively with all members of the care team providing world class service to both the patients and staff at Martin’s Point.

As a MPHC Medical Assistant, you will:

Work to actively enhance patient relationships and loyaltyPre-plan for patient visits Manage visit cycle time, office workflows, and patient access (phone, scheduling)Assist assigned provider and care team with rooming and patient care procedures, including electronic documentationCoordinate patient activities that support managing the targeted population’s health Ensure all consults and charts are scanned, downloaded and communicated in preparation for patient contactPerform direct patient care services in accordance with clinical protocols in a patient-centered mannerParticipate in daily huddles and regular team meetings to improve workflows and contribute to improving patient population outcomesEnsure exam rooms are prepared for patient visits, including equipment operability, supply inventory, and cleanliness utilizing standard stocking procedures

Education/Experience:

High School diploma or equivalentCompletion of an accredited Medical Assistant Program, Associate Degree preferred.

Certifications:

Current MA certification by AAMA, AMT, NHA or NCCT or attainment within 6 months of hire and retain active certification for duration of employment.  Completion of a two year accredited Medical Assistant Program/Associate Degree is preferred. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
