Spectrum Healthcare Resources has an excellent opportunity for a Medical Assistant to join our OB/GYN team at Dumfries Ambulatory Care Center in Dumfries, Virginia. This unique opportunity offers a meaningful way to provide care for active-duty military members and their families in a supportive, mission-driven environment.

Position Highlights

Monday–Friday schedule with no evenings, weekends, or on-call requirements

Key Responsibilities

Greet patients and prepare them for OB/GYN exams and procedures

Obtain and record patient medical histories, vital signs, and chief complaints

Assist providers during exams, procedures, and treatments

Perform basic laboratory tests and administer medications as directed

Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and instruments in a clean and organized manner

Document patient care accurately in electronic health records (EHR)

Provide patient education regarding medications, procedures, and follow-up care

Support front-office functions such as scheduling, referrals, and medical records when needed

QualificationsMust posses high school diploma or GED equivalent

Successful completion of a Medical Assistant program or an associates in Medical Assisting from an accredited college

Current certification or registration as a Medical Assistant preferred (CMA, RMA, CCMA)

Minimum of one year experience in an OB/GYN or women’s health setting preferred

Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Strong communication and organizational skills

Commitment to providing compassionate, patient-centered care
