Medical Assistant- Peds Neurology
Job Title: Medical Assistant - Pediatric Neurology Job Description Join our dynamic pediatric neurology department as a Medical Assistant where you'll have the opportunity to work closely with pediatric patients. In this role, you will support the department's operations across 8 exam rooms, collaborating with a team of three experienced Medical Assistants to serve 30-50 patients daily. You will be responsible for both front and back office tasks, including patient check-in, rooming, conducting vital checks, and check-out processes. We seek a candidate with strong communication skills, reliability, and the ability to integrate well with our diverse team. Responsibilities + Float between front and back office responsibilities. + Conduct patient check-in, rooming, vital checks, and check-out. + Prepare and maintain exam rooms, charts, reports, and records. + Direct patient flow and ensure the smooth operation of the clinical office. + Interact directly with patients, obtain vital signs, conduct EKGs, perform phlebotomy, and verify medications. + Prepare for office hours by obtaining charts, scheduling tests, and preparing exam rooms. Essential Skills + Proficiency with Epic, Patient Care, and EMR systems. + Medical Assistant certification (CCMA through NHA or RMA through AMT) with at least 1 year of experience. + EPIC experience strongly preferred. + Experience working in Pediatrics strongly preferred + BLS Certification. Work Environment The work schedule is Monday through Friday, 8 am to 4:30 pm. You will benefit from a supportive and collaborative work environment.
