Job Duties 

Under the direction of the practice manager is responsible for the administrative management of the off site practice.
Opens and closes the practice location.
Functions as the Medical Assistant for the practice
Performs laboratory and diagnostic procedures such as venipuncture, urinalysis, glucose, hemoglobin, and electrocardiogram.
Keeps patient exam rooms, medication and medical supply rooms efficiently stocked and organized.
Coordinate the inventory, ordering and supply stock maintenance of medical supplies using appropriate systems and in collaboration with the Practice Manager.
Arrives, schedules and registers patients who present for care.
Receives and records accurate demographic, financial and insurance information for all patients presenting for care. Verifies all information and updates the patient information in the computer as necessary.
Collects payments for deposits including co-pays and self- pay.
Conducts post service calls and follow up with patients.
Follow-up on no show appointments as directed by providers.
Address site issues and escalates as appropriate to Practice Manager.
Participates in the marketing activities and community out reach.
Participates in educational programs, quality improvement and in-service meetings
Promotes the mission, vision, and values of the hospital.
Greets all patients, families, and visitors with a positive attitude.
Performing other duties as assigned.


Position Qualifications
Certified or Registered Medical Assistant.
AHA CPR certification
3-5 years experience working in an ambulatory care setting or private practice
Proficient knowledge of medical terminology, billing practices and coding.
Proficient computer skills.
Proficient with MS Office Suites.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Bilingual candidates preferred. Spanish, Polish or Korean


Education

High School diploma or equivalent required. 1-2 years of college preferred.
Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program required. Certified or Registered MA accepted From AMCA and AAMA.
