Position Summary: Our Dermatology department has an opening for a full time Medical Assistant/Scribe. This position is for our Lehi location. Must be able to work full time Monday - Thursday. Essential Job Functions: 

Assist with patient care examination and related tasks. Escorts patients to examination rooms, interviews patient and ensures all pertinent information is recorded in the patient chart and available to the provider. Works with insurance companies and pharmacies as needed for prior authorizations. Ensures exam rooms are properly cleaned and stocked with needed supplies and equipment. Cleans and sterilizes instruments following clinic policy and procedures. Calls results and relays messages to patients as indicated by a provider in a prompt and courteous manner. Creates and maintains tasks and documents for all patient interactions. Call/Fax/eScribe prescriptions per provider instructions. 

 

Qualifications:

Certification from an accredited Medical Assistant program is preferred but not required. Must have outstanding customer service, organization, and attention to detail. Must also be a self-starter, team player, dependable, friendly and professional. Be able to multi-task and work efficiently.  CPR certification required upon hire 

 

Hours: Monday through Thursday 7:30 am - 5:00 pm
