Job Summary
Opportunity to work in a team environment providing services to youth between the ages of 0 and 21 in the Michigan Medicine Regional Alliance for Healthy Schools Beecher High School school-based health center. Support a multidisciplinary health professional team, both clerically and clinically.
This is a temporary position, up to 6 months from date of hire. Hours for this position are 40 hours/week. Position is located inside Beecher High School in Genesee County, MI.

Responsibilities*Responsibilities include performing standard medical laboratory tests, phlebotomy, vital signs, administering immunizations, scheduling and rescheduling patients for appointments. Respond to general inquiries of parents, students and school staff members. Maintain patient files and records. Maintain inventory, equipment and immunizations. Enter patient demographic and visit-specific information. Collect data for grant reporting. Position requires good organizational skills combined with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
Required Qualifications*High school diploma or GED.Graduation from a Medical Assistant program or an equivalent combination of education and 1-3 years of experience is necessary.Some office experience is necessary.Position requires good organizational skills combined with excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.Desired Qualifications*Certification as a Medical Assistant is desirable.Familiarity with UMHS policies is desired.Modes of WorkPositions that are eligible for hybrid or mobile/remote work mode are at the discretion of the hiring department. Background ScreeningMichigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third-party administrator to conduct background screenings.
