Tuition will be shared by employer and employee. Grant funding is available to qualified candidates for tuition, fees, expenses and supplies.Successfulcompletion ofprogramwill require demonstrating competency in selected skills throughout the program and passing the final exam.Clinicalinternship will include six weeks of training under direct supervision andresponsibilityofpreceptor/liaison. Classroom work will include attendance of 40 hours per week of classroom education for 10 weeks. Program graduates will be prepared and requiredto work as a Medical Assistant in a Core Physician's practice.Programis benefits eligible onfirstday! Perform clinical duties such as assisting provider in examinations, procedures and obtaining vital signs. 2. Clean instruments and exam rooms as needed. 3. Prepare instruments for sterilization as required. 4. Order and stock exam rooms with appropriate medical supplies. 5. Call in prescriptions as directed by the provider. 6. May schedule pre‑admission and diagnostic testing, follow up with patients after surgeries. 7. May perform any of the following administrative duties: answering telephone inquiries, scheduling, organizing patient charts, filing, pulling and copying patient records. 8. Maintain and adhere to established Core policies and procedures and federal regulations, including, patient confidentiality, quality assurance, safety, environmental and infection control standards. 9.
