Medical Assistant Trainer, SAMF Admin Clinical Support, Full Time

Description:Reporting to the Practice Manager, SAMF Admin - Clinical Support, this position supports colleagues who are the first point of contact for Saint Agnes Medical Providers (SAMP) patients and assists in creating the first impression of the medical office. This position works under the direct clinical supervision and authority of the physician when performing clinical tasks during patient care and reports to the leadership on administrative and operational issues. The Medical Assistant Trainer is a subject matter expert for front and back-office processes including providing excellent customer/patient service. The position provides hands on training to staff on front and back-office workflows including technology and ensures the onboarding staff is prepared to fulfill the role responsibilities in their primary office location. The employee will work collaboratively with all service staff in support of direct patient services, exhibiting flexibility and embodying a “can do” attitude. The position exemplifies the core values and mission of the organization, always exercising utmost discretion, diplomacy and tact in patient/staff interactions.

Pay Range

$22.89 - 32.05

1. High school diploma or equivalent is required. 
2. Two (2) years of college is required. Two (2) years of directly related education and experience may substitute for the college 
requirement.
3. Two (2) years of experience as a Medical Assistant is required. Medical Assistant experience at a Saint Agnes affiliate is preferred. 
If experience is in lieu of the education requirement, must have two (2) years of experience in addition to the education/experience 
substitution.
4. Medical Assistant Certification (CCMA) from the National Healthcareer Association (NHA) is required within three (3) months of hire.
5. Current American Heart Association (AHA) Healthcare Provider CPR card is required.
6. Exceptional verbal and written communications skills are required. 
7. Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and flexibility is required. 
8. Strong computer skills with experience and proficiency with medical systems is required. 
9. Ability to operate general office business machines (e.g., fax, copiers, etc.) is required.
10. Ability to recognize training method opportunities and adjust as needed based on material and staff ability is required. 
11. Knowledge of Medical Terminology is required.
12. Strong multi-tasking, planning, organization skills and ability to work independently as well as within a team is required.
13. Previous experience in quality and/or data analysis is preferred.
