Medical Billing Specialist (819017) | St. Paul, MN Medical Billing Specialist (819017) St. Paul, MN Our client is seeking a full-time Medical Billing Specialist to join their team in the public health space in a long-term contract opportunity with potential to hire. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in posting, claims, and denials, and have previous healthcare experience specific to billing (electronic remits) and overall experience with the healthcare revenue cycle. The position will be fully on-site in St. Paul, MN, so only local candidates will be considered at this time. Duties Requirements + High School Diploma/GED Required; some College preferred + 1-3+ years of billing experience in healthcare setting (seasoned biller is ideal) + Experience in the mental health space is highly preferred + Working experience filing electronic remits is highly desired + Accounting reconciliation skills highly preferred + Proficient+ in MS Office Suite (Teams, Excel, Outlook, Word) + Working experience with NextGen and Waystar or other electronic health records software + High attention to detail and accuracy + Reliable and committed + Ability to work fully on-site in St. Paul, MN Post Date: 01.29.2025 Salary: $22.00 /hr - $26.00 /hr Shift: 1st Benefits: Health care insurance benefits available first of the month following 60 days of employment.
