Medical Billing Specialist
Description We are offering a contract for a Medical Billing Specialist role in AIEA, Hawaii. The job function lies within the medical industry, where you will be responsible for managing various billing functions, claim administration, and providing customer service. Responsibilities: • Manage and execute billing functions, ensuring accuracy and efficiency • Handle claim administration, including the resubmission of denied bills • Collect overdue balances and take appropriate action for resolution • Maintain up-to-date records of medical billing and collections • Respond to and manage requests for medical documents • Assist with various administrative tasks as needed • Utilize Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel to perform job duties effectively • Provide excellent customer service, including handling customer inquiries with professionalism • Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when required • Gain experience with filing and/or processing medical insurance claims Requirements • Proficiency in Billing Functions, with a solid understanding of the entire billing process. • Experience in Claim Administration, including reviewing, processing, and managing medical claims. • Expertise in Medical Billing, with the ability to accurately code for various procedures and costs. • Familiarity with Medical Claims, including filing, tracking, and ensuring they are processed properly. • Knowledge of Insurance Claims, with the ability to handle disputes and discrepancies. • Experience with Medical Collections, including following up on unpaid claims and resolving financial discrepancies. • Strong Customer Service skills, with a focus on providing excellent service to patients and medical professionals. • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, with the ability to create and edit documents as needed. • Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, including creating presentations for various purposes. • Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook, with the ability to manage emails, appointments, and tasks efficiently. • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with the ability to create spreadsheets, input data, and use formulas effectively.
